OUTREACH AND EDUCATION SPECIALIST
PIERCE COUNTY ELECTIONS DIVISION
Jan. 2024- Current
Currently serving the Pierce County public by engaging citizens in educational outreach activities and campaigns centered on teaching the populace about elections processes, voter accessibility, and participation eligibility. Primary administrative focuses are on developing Pierce County Elections first Outreach and Education Program and managing its day-to-day operations and (as of March 2025) leading the national award-winning Points of Assistance program.

Notable Achievements:

The Signature Solutions Project collected voter signature updates of a particular voter demographic (voters who consistently failed to cure their ballots over the course of multiple prior elections) through door-to-door canvassing outside of election season.

This was done through collaboration with the local League of Women Voters of Tacoma- Pierce County.

Collective efforts during the project timeline increased the particular voter demographic's ballot acceptance rate by 30% during the following 2024 General Election.

Is currently spearheading a 2025 awareness campaign highlighting voter accessibility accommodations for those with disabilities through providing in person demonstrations of the Accessible Voter Unit device (AVU) at local resource fairs.

During Q1 of 2025, over 400 in person interactions occurred, with over 30 voters trying the AVU out first-hand during the demonstrations.

Has given three (soon to be four!) conference presentations while in this role as an expert in elections outreach.

Presentation topics have centered on increasing elections accessibility for underserved and historically disenfranchised demographics.

OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST
SNOHOMISH COUNTY ELECTIONS DIVISION
2022-2023
Responsible for revamping the Outreach and Engagement program after its role sat empty during the pandemic and providing a new 5 year outreach plan based on researching public engagement best practices and non-partisan outreach techniques useful for connecting with the diverse demographic makeup of the county's population.
Notable Achievements:

​Successfully led a pilot project which was a major contribution to the Division winning the national 2023 Stars and Stripes award from The National Association of Election Officials!

The project (which turned into an ongoing outreach program project) in November 2022 required leading a volunteer taskforce of 50 League of Women Voters of Snohomish County members to end up writing over 3400 postcards to approximately 79% of voters who had needed their ballots cured between election day and certification day. ​​

Notable Achievements:

Participated in strategy meetings for candidates across WA State who were running for federal legislature seats as well as state level positions such as governor, state senator and state representative.

Was the ghost-writer for multiple incumbents as well as challenging candidates for their campaign correspondence (such as fundraising letters, website copy, and newsletters).

My copy was skilled enough that other campaigns started to plagiarize the published campaign content I'd ghostwritten for their own fundraising asks (by copy/pasting entire paragraphs or pages of content!)
